Here I am to Worship {Songs I love}

Worship is simply giving God His breath back.

//LOUIE GIGLIO//

I love worship music. From the eloquent lyrics to the refreshing melodies, I enjoy listening to the character of God portrayed through song. It’s easy to identify worship as solely songs, when really it is so much more! Worship is a daily act of choosing Him, something I fail at daily. Thankfully, God comes as far as He has to in order to reach my heart. Worship is an intimate act of offering ourselves to draw near to the heart of God. Jesus deserves all that we have because on the cross, He gave all that He had. Humans were created to live a life of worship. It is not just music. It is living for the Lord and doing everything to serve and please Him. Worship songs are songs that point towards Him, A worshipful life is a life that points towards Him.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will”

//ROMANSĀ 12:1-2//

Throughout the Bible there are example of people declaring His glory through song. Praises are sung as an overflow of thanks to the one who paid the ultimate price for our redemption. There are several songs that God has repeatedly used in my life as prayers, as anthems of surrender and to reveal a deeper understanding of Him.
